DAS-2026-01 · Beatrice Green City Solar PV, Zimbabwe

Beatrice Green City is a utility-scale solar PV project of about 240 MWdc in Zimbabwe, now raising project finance.

The project will add clean generating capacity to Zimbabwe's grid, where supply shortfalls and load-shedding constrain households and industry.

DAS-2026-02 · Commercial Pig Breeding Farm, Central Province, Zambia

An operating, locally owned pig farm near Kapiri Mposhi plans to grow its breeding herd from 10 to 500 sows and is seeking growth capital of about ZMW 12 million.

Zambian pork demand is growing faster than local supply, and processors have raised farm-gate prices to secure more domestic production. The farm sits on the Lusaka–Kabwe–Copperbelt road and rail corridor and will supply pigs raised to about six months of age to out-growers, abattoirs and processors. Land is already secured, and the owner contributes the existing herd.

DAS-2026-03 · Chisase-Magudu Bio Energy (CMBE) – Zero-Waste Bio-Refinery, Zimbabwe

CMBE is developing a sugarcane bio-refinery in Zimbabwe's Lowveld that turns every tonne of cane into fuel ethanol and four further products, and is seeking US$130–150 million in upfront funding.

The refinery is designed as zero-waste: fermentation CO2, surplus power, animal feed and fertiliser are all sold, not discarded. A planned second phase would add sorghum as a climate-resilient feedstock, grown by up to 10,000 rural families on around 20,000 hectares.

DAS-2026-04 · Bwile Fish Farm – Cage Tilapia Farming, Lake Mweru, Zambia

Bwile Fish Farm plans a commercial cage fish farm for tilapia on Lake Mweru near Chiengi, northern Zambia, starting at around 100 tonnes of fish per year.

Zambia consumes far more fish than it produces, and the government is actively promoting cage farming on Lake Mweru, including better access to fingerlings. The farm will sell fresh tilapia locally and across the border into DR Congo, and plans to work with local fishing cooperatives for labour, market access and knowledge.

DAS-2026-05 · Chiengi Solar and Battery Plant for Mining, Zambia

A 20 MW solar PV plant with battery storage is planned at Chiengi in northern Zambia to supply a copper mine across the border in DR Congo and the local community.

The plant would reduce the mine's reliance on on-site self-generation and reserve about 1 MW for the local village. A ~40 km high-voltage line would connect the plant to the mine across the Zambia–DR Congo border.

DAS-2026-06 · Maskh Nigeria – Off-Grid Solar for Rural Communities and Businesses, Nigeria

Maskh Nigeria Limited, a Nigerian solar company operating since 1991, is raising about US$5.5 million in equity to expand mini-grids, commercial solar and solar home systems.

Nigeria has the world's largest energy access gap, and many businesses rely on expensive diesel generators. Maskh's solar supply replaces diesel at a lower cost per kWh and brings power to rural communities beyond the grid's reach.

DAS-2026-07 · Rural Mini-Hospitals Public–Private Partnership, Zambia

A public–private partnership proposes to build and operate 20 off-grid, 21-bed mini-hospitals in underserved rural districts of Zambia, needing about US$50 million in capital.

Each hospital runs fully off-grid on its own solar power, water and waste systems, with a small theatre, digital X-ray and staff housing. Sites are chosen to bring emergency maternity and surgical care within two hours' travel of rural communities.
